Evokera’s scientific founder, Dr. Lurong Pan, led the AI-driven design of broad, mutation-resistant neutralizing antibodies against more than 1,300 SARS-CoV-2 strains. Seventy AI-designed antibodies were experimentally validated in binding and live-virus neutralization assays — active against wild-type, Delta, and Omicron strains — achieving up to 269-fold improvements in binding affinity over their templates, all designed from sequence alone without animal immunization or 3D crystal structures. The work was peer-reviewed and published open access in Nature’s Scientific Reports, and the platform’s pandemic-preparedness program has been recognized with the Merck Pandemic Preparedness Award and supported by a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grant.
